Youth PA Day Camps (Elite Program)

This elite hockey training course is meticulously designed to elevate players’ skating prowess and overall game performance. With a concentrated focus on edge work, power, and speed, this program is ideal for both forwards and defensemen seeking to refine their skills and gain a competitive advantage.

Power Skating Development

  • Edge Work Mastery: Enhance your ability to maneuver effectively on both edges, ensuring precise and controlled movements.

  • Stride Efficiency: Develop techniques to maximize power, speed, and acceleration in every stride, translating into explosive on-ice performance.

Puck Control

  • Puck Skills: Refine your puck control skills and improve your stability and agility in various game situations.

  • Puck Handling: Learn advanced puck control techniques to enhance your ability to handle the puck smoothly and effectively while in motion.

Body Angling Techniques

  • Battling 1-on-1: : Master the art of body angling skills using safe and effective techniques to protect yourself and your opponents as you battle for the puck.

  • Body Angling: Improve your positioning to execute and absorb battling for the puck safely and efficiently.

Offensive Skills Enhancement

  • Puck Protection: Learn to shield the puck and maintain possession under pressure.

  • Passing Accuracy: Develop the precision and timing needed for effective passing plays.

  • Deking & Shooting: Enhance your deking skills and shooting power for harder, more accurate shots.

Practical Application

  • Games: Put your newly acquired skills to the test in a game scenario, providing an opportunity to review and apply the techniques learned throughout the course.

At Hockey Extreme we take your game to the next level. We will offer playersthe opportunity of the Best Instruction, the Best System (D.O.C.) and the Best Methods to learn and grow your hockey skills. Each of our camps are specifically categorized by age and skill level to provide the most specified & best quality development for each and every player.

Category: 12+ (Any Gender, AA/A/BB Skill Levels)

Dates: Coinciding with Toronto School Board 2024/25 PA Days (currently Friday, September 27, 2024; Friday, October 11, 2024; Friday, November 15, 2024; Friday, November 29, 2024; Friday, January 17th, 2025; Friday, February 14, 2025)

Location: Leaside Memorial Arena

Times: 2:30-4:30pm

Format: This program utilizes the entire ice surface every hour.

Maximum Players: 12

Cost: $115.05 + HST

Registration

Please note the following details before registering:

  • Requirements: Please bring your own water bottle with your name on it

  • Jerseys: Please bring your own practice jersey.

  • Nut-Free: Peanut allergies are extremely common among children. In many cases, peanuts can cause fatal and near-fatal reactions for children who are allergic. Please do not bring any products containing nuts (peanuts or tree nuts) into the arena. Thank you for helping us keep our kids safe.

  • Refund Policy: If you register for this camp, there are no refunds, unless the government shuts the arena down. If you are sick or are unable to make the camp then there are no refunds (unless we can sell your spot).

  • Safety Measures: For all programs we operate, safe protocols are in place so we can operate our programs safely for you. HX and all players will follow Ministry of Health Guidelines. Additionally, Self Symptom Screening is in effect, so if you don’t feel well then please stay home for all of us - thank you!
