Speed & Conditioning Progression

At Hockey Extreme, we’ve got three decades of experience developing drills that help you achieve your best on the ice. One of the key concepts we use is that we first lock a drill down, then we add speed and pressure so that you’re always progressing.

Once players grasp the fundamentals of a drill, increasing its speed is a logical next step. For example, introducing a back checker—whether a player or coach—can further challenge and push players, enhancing the drill's effectiveness. Additionally, coaches provide immediate feedback on positioning to help players improve. It's crucial to remember that drills achieve their full potential only when players thoroughly understand the drill's objectives and execution, so don’t be afraid to ask questions either.

Speed and conditioning progression is just one of the ways Hockey Extreme helps you be the best hockey player you can be - check out our Youth and Adult programs for more info!
