Adult Co-Ed Non-Slapshot League

Welcome to Hockey Extreme’s adult co-ed summer league played out of Leaside Memorial Gardens Arena. We are offering one program for the 2025 summer season, Non Slap Shot Intermediate Division. Appropriate players are competent skaters who may have either aged gracefully and lost some of their skills and speed, taken a hiatus from hockey, or were previously ringette players or figure skaters. This player has a general or better knowledge of the game, but needs to improve on skills such as puck handling, shooting, and positional play. Players are of all ages and eager to have fun in a friendly, respectful, and competitive way.

Our goal is to create a fun hockey atmosphere with players of a similar skill level. The league reserves the right to ask players who are at a significantly higher or too low a level to stop playing. Not allowed are Junior, Senior A-AA, current or recently graduated university players, and new-to-skating beginners.

Each team will have a Hockey Extreme coach behind the bench to help you develop your individual and team game, plus a ref and time keeper to maintain a proper game. The first skate will be an evaluation to make sure teams are balanced as best as is possible.

Category: Adults (Born 1950-2005, Any Gender, Intermediate)

Dates: Mondays from May 26 to August 18 except August 4 (12 week schedule)

Location: Leaside Memorial Arena (new pad)

Time: Game times are 8-9:30pm AND 9:30-11pm

Size: Teams of 13 skaters and 1 goalie will be made from individual entries (friends may request to play together during the registration process & we will make every attempt to accommodate)

Format: Following is the timetable per skate…

• First 15 minutes: NHL pre-game warmup run by HX staff

• Games are 3 periods, stop time (with an HX Coach behind the bench for each team)

Individual Cost: $530.10 + HST (Deposit of $499 then final $100 payment in cash on Day 1 of the class) - Goalies are free of charge

Please note the following details before registering:

• Equipment: Please bring your own full hockey equipment.

• Refund Policy: Refunds will be administered only if the government or Leaside arena shuts down the arena and we can no longer operate the league. If you can no longer play in the league for whatever reason, the league will try to sell your spot (if successful, a refund amount will be determined minus a $50 administration fee).
