2021 Hockey Extreme Backyard Challenge Helps Homeless
Our 2021 Backyard Challenge, announced on February 19th, has wrapped up and the Hockey Extreme team is pleased to share that - with your help and generosity - we raised $1,500 for the Covenant House!
The goal of Hockey Extreme's challenge was to raise funds for homeless kids by offering "Lessons In the Cold to get others Out of the Cold" with our senior hockey instructors, David Trombley, James Roxborough, John Kumagai, Brandon McMartin, or Joey Schmidt.
We kept things COVID-safe by offering only outdoor lessons, travelling to your location to skate on your backyard rink, pond, or river - or even just your driveway for a shooting lesson - to share an exciting hockey experience with you. We also made sure everyone self-screened, wore a mask, and avoided direct contact.
We had both adults and kids enjoying these 40-minute hockey lessons, and 100% of the funds generated went to the Covenant House to help homeless youth. Thanks for helping us be part of giving back during these trying times.
